Cross-product compatibility#
Use this matrix to select Newton, ROS workspaces, Isaac ROS, and Isaac Lab for your Isaac Sim release. Matching a release number alone does not establish compatibility for every physics backend, policy, or custom ROS interface. Hardware and driver requirements are listed separately in Isaac Sim Requirements.

For Isaac ROS, use only pairings explicitly listed in its compatibility table; do not infer support for unlisted releases.
Do not substitute the ROS workspace repository’s default branch and assume compatibility. Custom ROS interfaces must match the ROS distribution and Python version described in ROS 2 installation.
Keep the bundled Newton dependencies together instead of upgrading Newton independently in the simulator’s Python environment. For Isaac Lab policies, follow the policy’s documented simulator and physics-backend requirements; a simulator pairing does not guarantee that a policy trained with another backend will behave identically.
