Isaac Sim MCP Server#

Developer Reference

The Isaac Sim MCP Server is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that gives AI coding assistants deep knowledge of NVIDIA Isaac Sim — extensions, code examples, settings, and developer instructions — via semantic search.

For installation, MCP client setup, deployment options, and troubleshooting, see the Isaac Sim MCP Server README.

For developer documentation — key concepts, integration examples, performance notes, and pointers to the architecture and prompt-design references — see the Isaac Sim MCP Server docs README.

For robot policy deployment, use the installed isaac-sim-robot-navigation skill’s references/policy-deployment.md workflow and Deploying policies in Isaac Sim. The skill covers artifact discovery and export, direct env.yaml reuse, launch commands, expected output, failure checks, and teardown. Unitree H2 is a worked example in the skill and Option 1: Python deployment. Search MCP for RobotPolicyRunner, PolicyArtifact, and IO_descriptors.yaml. If the index does not return the workflow, inspect the installed skill and example, and record the MCP version and query with the missing result.
